Jackson
progressively
seeks to assist
new and expanding business,
whether looking to
locate in the area or already
located
here. The stability of Jackson is due
to a productive and educated work force, a
commitment to quality supporting
institutions, and an overall belief that
Jackson is a great place to work, live and
play.
Among the organizations helping to make
Jackson a better place is the Jackson
Economic Development Corporation. The
JEDC was established in 1964 as a for-profit
development corporation and is currently
comprised of over 300 local shareholders and
directed by a 12-member volunteer Board of
Directors. Along with the Board members are
three advisory members.
The JEDC has been instrumental in turning
what was once a cornfield into a
bustling hub of activity in the Jackson
Industrial Parkway.
The Economic Development office is located
in Jackson City Hall, 80 W. Ashley Street.
Their phone number is (507) 847-4423.
